State of Origin

Just a note to all New South Welshmen out there. Good luck in the Origin tonight, you're gonna need it.:wavey:

Havent followed it that closely but tell me why is NSW the perennial favourite when Queensland wins all the time??

Use to enjoy watching ..but now its all on pay TV ...so no longer see these games which is a pity...and how 'bout NZ joining as a 3rd "State" of origin? No?

Well...they don't win ALL the time Naki, just most of the time, you know as well as I do...the international matches are called Test matches.

Interstate football domination works in era's. These days Queensland have the upper hand because they happen to have a heap of seasoned top line professional players, as has happened to NSW in the past with the Andrew John's era etc etc.

NSW will come back into a winning way when they start selecting the right players for the right positions, and they find a couple of good leaders out there on the field.

Go the maroons.:jump:

Yes but we are as smaller than NSW and Queensland in regards to population ..but I guess we are still the world champions so I can't complain too much..:icon_lol:..(sorry couldn't resist ...and I need to skite while we still are :mixedsmi:)

I will have to say I'm a Queensland supporter as it dates back to the days when Graeme Lowe coached them...State of Origin was very popular in NZ in those days..not so much nowadays

Damn! Shows what I know! I thought this was a going to be a thread about the legalities of how one's state they are born in is determined!!! LOL!! :icon_lol:

I wonder if anybody from outside Australasia (and maybe the UK and France) know what the above posts are about :wiggle:

Chocolate fish for the first correct answer on what sport it is...(No answers from Kiwis, Aussies or persons from the Mother Country allowed)

"soccer" or football.

I'd like my chocolate fish now, please.

I'd just about give my left testicle for a ticket to game 2 at Lang Park....they'll go ballistic up this way with a 5th series on the line....fantastic atmosphere Lang Park, just can't help joining in with the mob.

I don't see why we have to have 2 games in Sydney . Surely, the final game (dead rubber or not) should be Lang Park. Home of the defending champs.

Rugby. And what are chocolate fish?

Heres what you can expect if you get the entire answer. You should only be getting one but I feel generous and I will give you a whole box...

Well, I finally decided to cheat and look it up! LOL!!!

According to what's written, it is called rugby league football. I read it is also called simply rugby league.

Though, precisely what differences there are between this form and the more traditional version is beyond me.

Cheers,

Ken
