This folder contains a repaint for the Douglas C-117D by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of C-117D RP-C473 of Soriano Air Cargo of the Philippines, around 1991 (Ex-USAAF 42-23894, c/n 43327, USN BuNo 12443, Aero Union N5597T and Intercoastal Air Ways N873SN), It was later sold to Mabuhay Airlines, also in the Philippines. On 30 august 1999, it was to be flown to Manila for a lease to Crown Cargo Express when it struck power lines. The aircraft crashed into a rice field. Luckily none of the 9 people on board were injured, but the aircraft was a write-off.
