Constructed as a C-47B-1-DK by Douglas at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA in 1944. Sent to the United States Army Air Force with s/n 43-48373. New construction number, 25634 was assigned to the airframe and transferred to US Navy as R4D-6 BuNo 17259 in February 1991. Sold to Woods Air Fuel Inc, Palmer, AL. 14 April 2005. Then sold to Bush Air Cargo Inc, Anchorage, AK.Douglas DC-3C N777YA and named "Artic Liner". You can barely see the image of 44896 on the vertical stabilizer, and is not original to this aircraft. She still flies today, 2015. My repaint shows her as of 2014. Thanks to Manfred Jahn for his great model!
