Animating aircraft gear doors and leading edge slats

Hi folks, I am working with FSDS 3.5 and MakeMDL. I was wondering if one of you could quickly list for me part names and key frames that i would use to animate nosegear and left and right main gear doors for fs9 and FSX. Also, how do one animate the leading edge slats?

Thank you,
Sid

For all gear animations, use the appropriate gear tag preceding the detailed description of the part such as:

c_gear_xxxxxxxxx , l_gear_xxxxx , r_gear_xxxxxx

As long as the tag starts with a recognizable tag format ( c_gear_ ) any subsquent description can be added and keyframed animations will be recognized. (This may be slightly different in FSDS.)

As for the leading edge slats, use the appropriate tag as listed in the attached. Then in teh aircraft.cfg Flaps section, you must use the appropriate flap designation to control movements, timing and angles. See the default Boeing 777 .cfg as an example.

You do need to pick up the Makemdl SDK and the aircraft container SDK if you are modeling.

The Gmax and Make Model SDK's give information on use of proper Gmax materials and use of object names required to properly animate and be recognized by the export process. Get these two and review for content before getting too far into the tutorials. The part names used for flaps, gear, tires, elevator, rudder, ailerons, props, doors, canopies, etc. are all specific to animation requirements.
