Building lights/beacons

I've just had to do reinstall of fs9 due to a hard drive failure, not a problem as everthing was saved to an external drive.
On my old set up I had managed to turn off the building beacons and tower lights, but for the life of me I cannot remember how I did this.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

I don't remember which exactly, but can't you just remove the obslight effects? I think they are fx_obslight and fx_obslight2 ?
