Hi Everyone
There have been several threads on different forums in the past about the FCS Wellington and the various bugs and inaccuracies in its model, gauges and textures. These include:
- Upper and lower wing roundels incorrect on most variants
- Tailwheel is fixed but the Wellington's was retractable
- Boost gauge needle won't go lower than 0 lbs/sq in. even with throttle fully closed
- At take-off power, the boost gauge shows nearly 18 lbs/sq in, more than double what Wellingtons had available according to Pilot's Notes
- In FS9, the Artificial Horizon in the VC works the wrong way round in the vertical plane, i.e. indicates nose up when actually nose down. But it's OK in the2D panel and in FSX
- In FS9 the propellers turn the wrong way, though correct in FSX
- Aircraft swings to port on take-off run, but should swing to starboard
In spite of all these and other issues, the plane has lots of strong points and I really, really want to like flying it. It's just that every time I take it out for a spin, my OCD nature kicks in and I get frustrated by details that aren't quite accurate - sad, I know!
Has anyone ever worked on any of these features and managed to sort them out? If so, I'd love to hear. Many thanks.
