Hi Good People,

The Ford Gibraltar Scenery Pack from the Ford Tri-Motor Project Team (just Ed and me) is now available :wiggle:

This package creates a circa 1930's look for the Gibraltar Air Base (RAF) - of special note is that a Rock of Gibraltar model was created for the scenery and a model of HMS Hood model is included in a small fleet offshore.

Many other support models have been created to build the necessary buildings for the scenery - including a rendition of the Tower that closely matches the one of that era.

The scenery also includes a very large sea port - with a sea runway - and suitable parking for both AI Aircraft(included) and fly-in's with other sea planes

Also a small British fleet steaming past the port.

Package includes the Scenery and some specific AI that is used within the scenery, and for your flying pleasure - the Mike Stone Boeing Clipper 314 model and 4 appropriate textures for the region.

If you want some fun scenery and flying then pop on over to the Ford Project Site click on the Scenery button and scroll down to the bottom of the list - now 21 unique scenery packs available from the Ford Project team - all created for your enjoyment and totally FREE.

UPDATE - UPDATE- UPDATE

Hi Good People,

Sorry for those that have already downloaded the Gibraltar scenery - however it was brought to my attention by a user that I had got the scales wrong for most of the buildings used in the scenery - so built a Pilot Figure and checked his scale against an aircraft and then revamped most of the buildings to match that scale.

Looks much better......:wiggle:

Also when fixing the scale of the buildings I discovered an elevation clash between the Sea Base and the Air Base - 15 foot drop in one corner of the Air Base area - FIXED that.

The updated download file for the scenery has now been placed on the Ford Project Scenery page.

All part of the learning curve - sorry for the bugs - but hopefully I am getting better at this Scenery stuff :wiggle:

It is important that those that use the products from the Ford Project give us some feedback on the modules of the project that we release - developing in the dark if no feedback is passed on to us - good or bad - need the input to improve what we do for you.

Happy simming to all

Garry and Ed

Hey, thanks for the scenery! I've been wanting a good Gibraltar for some time now - this looks like it will fit the bill!

Gibraltra balancing on Gibraltra

I've tried the Gibraltar scenery twice, once before the update and one after and still end up with the Rock balancing on top of the stock Rock. Whats going on?

The Rock of Gibraltar

Hi Hurricane3,

As far as I know there is no "Stock Rock" - for the Gibraltar area - sadly missing from the default FS2004 scenery was this famous landmark. I suspect that you have some other scenery pack installed that has added the Gibraltar Rock to the same area that I placed my Rock.

You can remove my rock model if you wish by deleting "Rock-Position.bgl" from the Gibraltar/Scenery directory - or if you like my rock better than the other one then remove the other one from the other scenery. :icon_lol:

Regards

Weird

Thats weird I have had Gibratar scenery installed from my install on XP and my old computer. Some how it must have carried over to my new install on Windows 7 and my new computer.I haven't installed any new scenery on my reinstall on this computer. Well it really doesn't look bad and I've had stranger things happen. Thanks for you reply.
