Hi Good People,
Just finished off a Scenery Pack for a very remote island in Alaska - Ed recommended the name GULL Island and sent me some pictures of what a small settlement might look like including a picture of a Nissan Hut styled church.
First part of the project was to build a Nissan Church, then a considerable volume of different styles of building that would fit within the concept of a remote Alaskan Island settlement in the 1930's.
Over the course of around 10 days - bouncing ideas back and forward we ended up with the NOW Available GULL Island package for the Ford Tri-Motor Project.
Couple of Pictures:

Some fun music in this one
Aircraft Used in this Project
There are 5 different aircraft used in this package:
Ford Tri-Motor (5 Liveries) - Lockheed Vega (3 Liveries) - Douglas DC3 (default MS - 2 liveries) - Junkers F13 - (Float 2 Liveries - Wheel 2 Liveries)

This time we have done something different for these aircraft - we have created individual install aircraft - fully flyable version and packaged everything for each aircraft into unique aircraft folders to add to your sim - each has been prefixed with GULL-aircraft name. - Hopefully this will make it easier for some of the new patrons for simming and this project - naturally it duplicates some aircraft and makes the downloads considerably larger - but makes them easily installed and easily removed from sim systems if not desired.
The AI used for Ford Alaska - Gull Island is drawn from the aircraft above - the two Float Junkers F13's are not used - yet - there will be a sea base update in the future when we can get the Float version flying correctly in the sim - the just taxi and hold at the Hold short point and will not progress - AFCAD file is correct as other sea planes fly easily from the water runway. One of those niggly problems that hopefully will be worked out. But in the meantime Ed was keen to get the scenery out to the patrons so release without the sea base seemed to be the best short term solution.
This Aircraft package is a separate download from the Scenery Pack and can be download from the Scenery Page - GULL scenery area on that page.
Ed has also developed a much better 2D panel for the Junkers F13 - but not included in the download because of complexities of installation - Ed will be providing access and guidance to anyone that wants to add them - but no doubt Ed will explain further in a post in this thread.
This is yet another fun airfield created for some interesting flying in a remote region - and I mean really remote
Anyway, check out the slideshow (link above) and if your interested pop on over the Ford Tri-Motor Project site - click on the Scenery button and scroll down to the GULL scenery (at the bottom at the moment)
Remember all of this stuff is for free - gratis - zero cost - so worth a look and hopefully it will add some entertainment and variety to your simming environment.
Enough from me - get stuck in and enjoy the plethora of FREE stuff available from the Ford Tri-Motor Project - all there specifically for your enjoyment.
