I use this program to shut down unnecessary programs and free up the machine to run FS9 as efficiently as possible. Beginning today I have been trying to start FS9 and get the dialog box telling me to insert FS9 Disk 4, press OK, and restart the application. Good advice except it's already in the machine. Not sure what's keeping this thing from "catching." GameBooster does have a Feedback log, and it says the following:
Entry GetTaskInfo[Game_Booster_AutoUpdate]
Get version: 5.1.2600
fail: hResult[0x80070002] in file: ..\..\public\include\TaskManager.cpp function: CTaskManager::GetTaskByName on line: 276
GetTaskByName.Activate error: The system cannot find the file specified.
fail: hResult[0x80070002] in file: ..\..\public\include\TaskManager.cpp function: CTaskManager::GetTaskInfo on line: 771
GetTaskInfo.GetTaskByName error The system cannot find the file specified.
Leave GetTaskInfo[80070002]
It's like it can't find FS9 despite the path to the sim being correct according to the "Properties" printout for the shortcut. Not sure what's going on here.:mixedsmi:
