As promised to some of you, I have released one variant of the Harpoon as something to enjoy over the holidays. Yes, it is still a WIP but we hope to have the full package out in 30 days or so.

Everything is still evolving but you can get the feel of her in this holiday fun release.

Enjoy if you are interested.

Happy Holidays :wiggle:

And a Merry Christmas to you, and a big thanks to you and the team for another great aircraft. What a beauty.:applause::applause:

I found her in the library just before your post and just completed my second flight of the day.

I love the sounds, panels and flight dynamics, and just about everything about her. Great job. I'm definitely looking forward to the final product. :medals:

Milton... you STOLE the WHEELS off my Howard 500...:crybaby: I had a hard enough time getting them BACK from the CANT Z1007.... lol! :icon_lol:

Open the bomb bay doors to find a nice surprise... a pair of "fish". Someone with better paint skills than mine should paint "shark mouths" on those fish, with lotsa teeth!.

Thanks for the early Christmas prezzie, mate. :salute:

And ports nicely over into CFS2, with a bit of tweaking. All the ani's are there, and suprisingly the airfile and cfg works well in the senior sim.

A good looking ac, many thanks Milton and Team-PV...:applause:

Merry Christmas!

What a wonderful gift! Wonderful plane! Today I took up flying in the sim again. Couldn't have done it with a more fun to fly plane! Everything pleases me regarding this plane: the pilot animations, the model, the flight characteristics, the looks, the bombbay. WOW! WOW! WOW!

Thank you!

Wow! That's great to hear Shessi. I was planning and willing to redo it for the CFS2 conversion. Happy to hear you have it operational. :applause:

Wonderful preview of a terrific project. Thanks, Milton.

Thanks Mike; we appreciate that a bunch.

Cees, that means a lot coming from a seasoned veteran like you. Sometimes a package just comes together, has a great feel, the sounds fit, and it is a pleasure to fly. That's how I feel about this one too. I appreciate your perspective and certainly its nice to see others who genuinely feel good about the product. The team has worked hard on this one too and that is where the bulk of the credit goes ... Tom, Matt, Nigel, and Jan Visser for the pilot figures and animations.

Merry Christmas to you all!

Thank you very much, Milton and Team. :salute:This is such a great plane to fly (and very easy to land).:applause::applause: Definitely one of my favorites.
Great looks and awesome sound.:applause:

Marty knows what to do these days! He he he he!:icon_lol:

Cheers,
Maarten

Thanks Milton! There have been some twelve dutch Harpoons in service with the navy. I guess one of the repaint wizards will do at least one. We'll see.

Thank you so much for the Harpoon, wonderful plane, VC, shape, and FM! It handles so well in the air! I noticed the tail wheel lock lever was behaving weirdly and would move on its own accord and lock in whatever up or down position it chose and nothing I could do would make it budge. I looked in the panel CFG, found the tail wheel lock gauge and thought aha so I commented it out and now the lever works perfectly and locks and unlocks as it should. I know it is a WIP....but I thought I should let you know.
after this little modification I added lights from shockwave (thanks Warhorse!) and added exhaust trails with a little gauge called Autosmoke that makes the exhaust appear when the engines are running at high power settings. Now looks just like the real thing with the distinctive smokey trails behind it.
Wishing Milton and all the team who helped make the Harpoon, my best regards and a great Christmas.:applause::applause:

PS. I found a complete pilots manual for the PV-2 on the net, free and in PDF format.
PSS: Thanks also to Nigel for the sounds!
