It is certainly great to look at but be aware that there are 'issues' with it if you are used to coupling your auto-pilot to the GPS and following the 'pink line'. I've tried to fix it multiple times and came to the conclusion that it is just not possible due to the custom auto-pilot coding in use. I even raised the issue with Vertigo Studios but got nowhere with it due to the well known issues with the model and coding.

Just out of curiosity....this was all released prior to the tool modelconverterX. The issue is (as I understand it) that VS can't fix anything because the modeler either stepped down or lost or (insert the catastophic event here) and the model files are not available. Couldn't VS, who owns the product, simply use modelconverterX to import the current model back into their desired editor and then "fix" the model issue themselves, then release a patch? I mean, I'm relatively sure it can be done, since there have been numerous things like it being done on the freeware side? I could be wrong though....

ModelConverterX doesn't produce the model as built in Gmax/3ds Max/FSDS or whatever, it only reproduces the triangulated mesh. Custom coded features are lost so SimConnect features have to be rebuilt/recoded from scratch. Model parts have to be separated from each other, since they're joined together by drawcall. It's nearly as much work as building the model from scratch: not a realistic proposal for a complex payware model.

Thanks for clearing that up! I've been curious for a while...too bad though. But, even so, I still love this model regardless and would recommend it anyway.

ive tried several days in a row to buy this (i started before i asked, wanted to see what yall had to say)but pcsimstore always kicks it back to me saying my CC was turned down (declined)...guess i wont beable to have this...but they dont want my money...fine...

My favorite warbird, but I'm reluctant to buy it. I read the review at AVSIM when it first came out. It mentioned several switch covers that opened backwards, and a really noticeable bad weld in the VC. Does anyone know if they ever fixed these?

In 2011 I did this very diry skin of French Bearcat used in Korea.
Screenies from 2011 too:

I don't recall that but I've not flown it for a while. I DO know that it's a sod to paint if you go outside the norm.. especially the fin. The fin on the long fin model was stretched to make it that size. Not a problem until you come to put a large B there representing the TFC's aircraft. It is one size on the fin and another on the rudder. I gave up:banghead:

I've run into a similar thing. If they have a paypal option, choose that. The paypal site will accept your card and apply the payment in a way that the bank in question will honor. You don't need a paypal account to utilize this option.

I'm bumping this topic to ask if anybody has access to PcSimStore webshop ?
It seems the website is down since several days. I wanted to reinstall the Bearcat, but I can't get my registration code since I can't log into the webshop...
Of course I checked my emails from my purchase, but unfortunately they don't include the code in there...
Anybody knows what's happening ?

It is coming up with site under construction, so hopefully will be back up and running soon.
