Vietnam for CFS2 Beta Release

3 days? Will work on the C-1 I guess. I think all I need to do is pull of the wing dome, pylons and tubes in the engine nacelles.

Allen,

I think the tubes were left in. If you want to save some polys you can just cap it off.

I'm almost done with the CH-47s. I have seven different versions. I think I went a little crazy again. At any rate, I have to do the mdlnames and descript.dat. Then test them. Hopefully I animated the rotors correctly.

Allen,

I'm doing the animations for my static CH-47s. They have the 'Tick18" prefix. How do I set it up so that I can have two of them?

Would "Tick18_01" work?

As of now I only have one set turning.

From what I remember Tick18 is a prefix so you should be able to name your rotors on you CH-47s Tick18_Front and Tick18_Back and give both an animation...

The CH-47 models are finished. I may do a heavy lifter group later on.

I wish we had other sound that we could use for ground vehicles. I hate the track sounds.

Good Luck John,

Hope the closing on your new house goes smooth as silk for you today,

Dave

Thank you Dave. Its done... It went great. Now the house is mine. To quote "Braveheart", 'Its my Island, I own it'. Well mine and the banks for the next 30 years.

I'm going to finish up the CH-47 models tonite. I just need screenshots.

'til Later,
John

Update to the Original Viet Olds Mission:

Updated Viet_Olds Mission
The Viet-Olds1 mission is intended to upgrade the original Viet_Olds mission
by allowing full use of the enhanced Bar Le Railyard scenery (here) ,Flak has been
relocated, AA guns have been added along with additional mission only scenery.
Can be used as a stand alone or replacement of the original mission.

Ran across something yesterday, No fault or foul to Just Flight software or any of the great developers that Allowed Me ( us)
To use the missions of the formerly commercial software " Vietnam Air War". But as I slowly add scenery to some of the missions
I find that ( for instance, the original Sams mission is not even close to North Vietnam)............. Although I am a simple mud
pusher and know little about mission writing, I will start looking at the missions as I go along.

Any input is much appreciated,

Dave

Then I will dabble with the missions for it.

Johns choppers will come in handy for this part of the project.

Dave, the zuni rockets and pods are currently available and do-able via CFS2 downloads, but you'll need to have someone create the minigun pods from scratch because no such thing exists at this time. Once done, you'll need to separate two dp versions, one with rockets and one with rockets and guns. As you may already know, this is because the guns will be set by permanent gunstations in the dp, so even without the visible gunpods, they'll still be active. The gun sound may also be a touchy issue. The 7.62mm mini Gatling sounds more like a burp gun that your standard CFS2 .303, 13 mm and .50 cal machine gun sounds.

Now includes enhanced textures as of 6-10-16

Hi Dave,

Here are the full compliment of screenshots for the INFO folder for the two object library files. The original pictures were low resolution. Pictures for a couple of the bridges, a chimney and a high tension pylon were missing.

Also included are two textures needed for one of the bridges and for the chimney.

Kevin,
You are the best dude.......Great work!
Thank you so much for the time and effort
I will add them "with credits of course" to the download

Rail bridges were a big part of the initial conflict and I am slowly working on the scenery for some.

Gotta luv the people here at the SOH,

Dave
