Thanks for the info on Swearingen. Another one I'm looking for is a flying pix of the Grumman E-2 Hawkeye without the rotodome. I heard it did fly this way when it was in prototype time.

Here is another wee bird which, to my knowledge, doesn’t carry a bird’s name. But let’s wait and see what lefty our ornithologist will dig out.

Hard to see what's going on behind the fuselage pod, but you can see a prop in the shadow ! This is very much not my territory but I reckon it's probably German...
 
Fab4 you are right :icon29: I have no information about the partly hidden bird in the background :(

Another mystery is the "slotted" engine cowling. Something that appears only on this picture in contrast to all others. ?
