Capitain Kurt is 100% correct
CFS2 is a Grand Old Lady; but her age limits how many new things we are able to stuff into her.
Looks like VN has her corset just "bursting at the seams" ... and nobody likes a fat old broad .. do they? ... unless she's yer Grandma right?
I ran into this same problem in 2010 with VN4CFS2-v1.5 ... I tried to warn you about it in February ... and now it's biting your ass too.
This is why I stressed that you needed to remove old & unneeded crap.
I started by removing the original (CFS1) British & German objects & .dp's. (a TON of poop)
I removed virtually all the weapons but kept some buildings & vehicles as I thought they might be useful at some point in the future in VN.
I would strongly recommend you keep a COMPLETE list of what you remove and supply it to anyone wishing to build this sim.
Next (when or if needed) I would start removing all the JPN weapons, objects & corresponding .dp's and again leave some buildings & vehicles that may be useful.
- removal of the old weapons will have a secondary effect in that it will limit or completely remove the "friendly fire" problem caused because the country.cfg "allies/axis" configuration is totally screwed up.
I hope you find my suggestions useful. You are doing a GREAT job Dice.
Hats off & full salutes to you, Allen & Blood for your fine work.
You guys are responsible for the all-time GREATEST and LARGEST upgrade in the history of CFS2
- we all have our problems Bro ... due to my malware problem a couple of months ago, I had the reload my o/s.
Thought I'd backed-up the new sim ... I was wrong ... oops .... gotta start again from scratch once again.
Life's can be a bitch ... even if you've already divorced her.......
Thank you Captain Kurt for your insights & comments.
It's nice to know others have an understanding of these limitations & restrictions.
OK: Back up and running.....
Back to work on DAK TO finally.
Big thanks to all that emailed to help figure out what I did this time.
I ended up going to a back up copy and adding to it. I will keep
digging into it, But it may be possible that there is a limit on DP files ??
or INf objects ??
