There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

It may this year. The boys are coming back to Mississippi in April I believe. The FAA paperwork was submitted last November and a few more taxi tests and possible first flight were supposed to happen but a few niggles were found. A failed microswitch on the port airbrake and a failed flap gauge in the cockpit. Worse was a fuel leak from the no.1 engine requiring its removal. XS422 never had the upgrade to the new fuel fitting which allows it to be changed with the engine in place. This has now been done. The air turbine gearbox was also replaced while #1 was out. If you want to catch one of the first shows there are four planned around the gulf area for the first season whenever that may be. A trip to Oshkosh has also been mentioned the last time I talked with Nic, but staying close to home initially. (Incidentally, it takes two stops to get from KHSA to KOSH with XS422 in the sim!) Come on over to Lightning422 on Facebook to stay updated as it has taken priority over the website. So glad Aerosoft put the group's name on the nose plug! Nice touch.I hope they get this one flying again at Stennis.

Ive never been a fan of the Lightning, the T5 for some reason does something, it must be the side by side seating I only just wish it could carry more stores

Ah yes, the elusive and very rare MiG. Some say it could be assembled by illiterate, impoverished natives of any country in the world and still serve 37 years without spare parts and with an occasional refill of oil (olive or sunflower). Shown in that screenshot are the results of such a building attempt. Both aircraft came from the same factory-delivered assembly kit.

That's not a MiG, but a Lightning driver's poor excuse for one. We all know that encounters with actual MiGs would have been impossible since both sides would have been out of fuel before ever coming into contact.

Sorry to interrupt, but which MiG-21 are you using Zsoltquack? I've been trying to download one for ages, which is the only FSX native one I've heard of, but the only things I can find are modifications and repaints for it, not the original aircraft files.
I'm quite happy to translate Russian to English badly or just watch YouTube videos to learn how to start and fly it.
