Whoever he is he beat me to it! I was going to do my own update but Duskie got there first! :biggrin-new: :biggrin-new: What can I say? By the time I actually posted that I was a little bleary eyed and didn't even notice I had done that til yesterday.

First of a series I'm working on finishing up. I'm doing three schemes worn by F-8J's of VFP-63 during the 70s
through early 80s at NAS Miramar (aka "Fightertown" at the time). This first one was the CO's ride in 1974.
:ernaehrung004:
.

Look forward to these.

This one's next from me...

VF-111 F-8H aboard Shangri-La 1970 WestPac on her last cruise.

The F-8's MB seat was a lot more difficult to remove than the F-4s. I don't ever remember removing one without losing some skin on my knuckles! NC

Are you forgetting the canopy had to be removed on F4 to get seat out .... as for putting it back on again with those spherical bushes in hinges that had to be aligned

I don't remember having to ever take a F-4 canopy off to get the seat out. I recall having to rotate the seat forward, yes, but no canopy removal. I DO remember taking the canopy off A-7s a LOT though. NC

Thank you to RFN for this stunning bird ! What a GIFT :triumphant: payware quality for sure :encouragement:

Hi Gaz,
I strongly suggest (if not done already) to install the carriers created by Sylvain and the RFN, they fit the Crusader, Etendard, Zéphyr and Alizé like a glove!!!
There are different configurations corresponding to the different operational eras of the Crusader in the French Navy.
Have a good flight!!!

Stéph.

I'm not a rivets counter simmer but when speaking about weapons ... seriously speaking, I wonder if it should be simple and possible to paint in black the bottom of the guns fairings to simulate the
guns and to give more deep to the inside :pirate:

You mean like black or a sooty look like the guns were fired?
