Screenshots

With FCR you can just hit a button et presto there's your wingman ! ;)

The 'downside' is that it's just a copy of 'You'... Everything *you* do your wingman (or wingmen...) does exactly the same and i mean *exactly* the same. Looks pretty fake to me. No wonder because it IS.... Nice for a screenie (as you can see here with Richard's fabulous screenshots) but *life* is a different story. Atleast IMHO. :)

Yes that is what I did in post #5299 above.
But, as you point out, the wingman is a clone in every way, and that includes serial numbers, mostly.
Richard's wingman has a different livery, which is why I asked the question.
I'd love to be able to add a wingman for a formation shot, each in their own livery.
I haven't found a way, other than creating a separate AI flight.

What I did is use the designer mode, clone the aircraft, and then change the aircraft you are flying with, so you have two different aircraft.
I tried it with the AH P-51 as well, but then the clone always has the flaps down if you have them up, or vice-versa. Odd, that,,,

What a lovely vintage airplane. Is this available some where?

KevinB

No, it is not available.
It is a port over I did of the payware Golden Age Simulations Stearman C3 for P3D.
She flies, but unfortunately the clickable areas are inactive as some keyboard commands.
But for screenshots, I like the aesthetics of these vintages biplanes.

Nice! I am still learning, were you flying formation with a recording played back as AI?

Sorry for this late reply and thanks to JK for taking the time to provide the info.
I was busy making a tutorial to answer you. You will find it in the following posts.

As Javis and JK point out, FCR has its limitations.
It depends on what you want to do with it and as JK points out, it's fun for screenshots.
For my part, it allows me to give another "dimension" to the repaints I do.
Here are some more pictures.

Thank you so much for this, bookmarked and saved.
I guess it is a peculiarity in FCR that the clone rego's are blanked.
I hope Asobo can build in some more photo-orientated stuff into MSFS 2024!

Now that itch is scratched...

The software is still a little buggy e.g. pausing the sim sometimes doesn't pause the wingmen!
But does afford some hours of entertainment.

Not only paints Pete, models as well.

The first one is the DCD offering, the last one is the ported Milviz bird. It's quite the difference!

Actually I love both of the Phantoms from different designers. I am confident that better paints for the DCD model will emerge. Meanwhile, if there is a painter on SOH willing to "fix" the one I displayed a screenshot of, please contact me. NC
