Miltech Douglas A-1 Skyraider released

Great update. My wasm-crashes are gone. Oleo struts are correct now in FS2024. Flightdynamics were also adjusted. Little contact points issues with fully loaded Spad noticed. It is a real pleasure to fly this unique bird now.

Tail-wheel could be more feathered in fully loaded mod.

I bought it. For $25.00 I thought it was a deal. I also picked up the Carrier for less than $10.00.

I have a sweet spot in my heart for the A-1 Skyraider. Many a downed pilot and helicopter crew breath a sigh of relief when Sandy called that it was inbound. It was the A-10 of its time.

Which carrier? Pete

With the patches, I think I'm inching closer to buying the Skyraider. A few more repaints for MSFS2024 will seal it. Keep the screenshots and comments coming, chaps.

I bought it straight from Blackbird Sims, and downloaded from their website. Pete

Pro Carriers?
I thought I had answered you...??? Yes, the Procarrier. Does anyone know if there is a POH. I found a "Docs" folder but it was empty. This plane is confusing to me with all the different controls in all sorts of locations. The cockpit looks like someone took three different cockpit layout and tried to cram them into one.

I do not like YouTube videos. Give me a real manual that I can read and refer to later, as needed. I remember when I was Beta testing for them, we testers got all sorts of written documentation on the aircraft we were testing.

John, I went through the same thing (we AF guys must like our hard copy Dash Ones or something...). Their "manual" for the A-1 is online:

Try this link: https://docs.miltechsimulations.com/miltech-simulations-skyraider/product-guides/overview-internal

(This is a link to the instrument panel overview...but once you are in, you can navigate wherever you want...including starting with the Introduction)

Got an issue on the 24 version of this one.

I did download both again and used the conversion tool but same result.

OK...It does have a R3350 in the nose, so I had to have it.
It does look very nice, sounds at least at idle and into the mid rpm range are great to OK, but at full song it doesn't sound at all like the A1 we did have flying at POF almost every year I was there for the airshow.
But the biggest problem I have, is......the manual. Give me a bloody PDF to download that shows each button, clickspot or what ever and a few performance charts etc and I am good. Not this must be online to look through pages that I can not search for a keyword in etc.
Still looking for the bloody parking brake handle, button or what ever it may have.
And for some reason the throttle axis doesn't respond properly on my end. In SPADNxt it is nice and smooth, but in the aircraft it is almost as if there was an override.
