Unfortunately, the answer is no. Every formation you see is the result of FSRecorder. You must fly each position and then play it back and record another.

True that Tigisfat. I don't know how you do it, but I have found that FS9 recordings are wayyyyyy smoother than the recordings made in FSX. So I make the first two or three recordings in FS9, use the Renameit utility to swap an FSX plane into the recordings, then play the recordings back in FSX to fly with. All of the turns are very smooth arcs...even in the tightest of turns... and there isn't any jerkyness. It helps if you have the same type of plane for both FS9 and FSX, unless it's a portover.

Awesome shots guys :D

How many of you have entered the Striking Software Contest?

For making cool formation flights, check out “Formation Flight Toys or FSX” at www.Mudpond.org You might be amazed… Unfortunately, I can’t get mine to work on my new Vista64 computer.

EDIT: Got Jerry Beckwith's FormationSetup program working after all (see pic #4.) Downloaded the latest version, and also started going to window mode to launch the formation program, rather than ALT-TAB to the desk top.

So many cool formation shots that I can't resist adding a few of my own.
Old ones, but still nice I think:

Not sure what that is hah - I'm using your reflect map for that of course and I think I tweaked the colors a tad and the 2nd shot has some soft glow additions as well
