Well, I'm off on another FSX adventure of some sort.

Not exactly sure if it will be an epic extravaganza like the "B377 World Capitols Tour" turned out to be, but it ought to be interesting. Given that I'm in the Cubby, "interesting" may eventually translate into "overly optimistic.

The plot so far:
I'm in the Cub....
I have no idea where I'm going, so I'm technically wandering....
I'm not even sure where the Cub will go and can get to....so any brain-damaging pre-planning can being thrown out either of the two operable windows.

But only Day 2, into the adventure and the payoff is already being realized, because I just got to land at some little airport I couldn't hardly find with a funny name that has Piper Cub written all over it, "Pluff Mud Field", (SC06).

Scientifically Devised Adventure Formula:
Cub's endurance divided by Hiedi's daily snacking habits and thus her load factor modified by the number of pee stops for the 15 pound Min-Pin sitting in the luggage rack behind my seat. Airport destinations don't neccesarily have to have good overnight accomodations. Any shortcomings in that department are offset by having as funny or odd of an airport name as possible. Preferably IACO codes that aren't already in my logbook are a big plus. There's another flight achievment merit badge buried in this idea somewhere along the line.

If this sort of flight adventure makes absolutely no sense, it's not supposed to. :)

A2A, you guys are perfect. Got the Cub and the Axxu-Sim for it. Truly I need a sim box to jostle me, this is so real. Paint Kit is swell too already knocked out Charley Culp"s Flying Famer, N7057H. I'm saving my beans for more of your stuff, because it is truly marvelous.

Just for info for the repainters here, we have started a new 'Cub Repaint Repository' over at the A2A forum and would appreciate it if you could add a post describing any completed repaints you may have. The idea is to have a common place where Cub owners can find information on available repaints and where those repaints are located. Just a short description, a screenshot or two and a pointer or link to the location the file can be obtained from is all that's required.

Hopefully it will grow into a useful resource for all Cub owners.

The forum thread can be found here....

Thanks.

I'm deciding between this and the PMDG J41

I'm leaning towards the Cub because I already have the F1 Mustang and it and the PMDG bird fly at similar speeds.

Anyway, my question is: I've never purchased from A2A so do their products have license files or serial numbers or what? Can I re-download it again after a clean system format? AKA Can I always have access to download of the product? Or is it a one time purchase/one time download?

Oh also, since I don't have Track IR, is it tough to land with the passenger in the front using a HAT switch?

No activation, no serial, just a simple install (or two if you also get the AccuSim). Hasslefree and working wonderfully.

Speaking of J41 vs. Cub I can only tell you to get both. I got myself and I can't say which one I would buy if I would only buy one. They are both really good. The Cub is a visual feast, the J41 is a bit more on the complex side.

i'd but the cub, Ultralight-ing and slow fliers (Oh and Parachuting) are my thing, it's horses for courses as usual (personal preferences, personal tastes)
