Aero L-39 Albatros

Those are gorgeous paints Merida, thanks for making them. :) I'm really looking forward to flying them, especially that orange tip tank version. If this thread has taught me one crucial thing (among many) it's that I really need to upgrade my own painting skills on the next project hahaha. Can't believe some of the awesome ones you guys have come up with. I really appreciate it.

Cheers,

-Mike

Mike, put it this way...

The fact that some of the best painters over here are putting out such amazing work is a real tribute to your product. I see it as perhaps their way of saying thanks for the hours you put into making the L-39 what it is...

My paint skills are zero. I am humbled by the developers' work and by the repainters' skills...

Thanks to you all!

Andrew

Thank you very much merida 72 - wonderfull artwork - she looks very nice in her "italian-style" outfit. :ernae: Hope we see some more from you :icon_lol:

Just re-affirms how good this little beaut is.
There's other stuff too :wiggle:

Thanks Dougie. I was waiting until FSpilotshop had updated as well before announcing it, but I think Simmarket automatically sends out an email when an update occurs.

Sorry for the delay for FSpilotshop customers, it will be available from them by monday at the latest I'm sure, hopefully sooner. Unfortunately I have no control over their end of things! I'll make a detailed post about the new fixes and features at that point, but the major ones are Reality XP GNS430 integration on 5 models, a couple new paints, and new rain effects with an accompanying improvement in VC performance.

Thanks.

-Mike

BTW Mike, my review is now up at FlightSim.com as well. Hopefully it will clear up some of the fog from the *other* review :ernae:

yeah that quicksilver repaint looks very good:jump:
but if someone can make this repaint please could you make it also for a version mith tiptanks? would be great:running::applause::applause:

I'm just grabbing this from a separate thread so that it's findable later. The initial question was about the model: how do I activate the airbrake? Lotus Sim's answer is about how the airbrake should be used:

Thanks Kiwi for answering that for me (was asleep!). Timm, if you have FSUIPC you can also set your throttle button to deploy the airbrakes when you hold the button down and retract them as soon as you release it. That's the most accurate setup for it in relation to the real jet, and it's *immensely* useful for station keeping in formation flight. That way you just "blip" the brakes, scrubbing off 1 or 2 knots of speed at a time, much as real L-39 pilots do.
