I can't remember being asked for my Finnish Gladiator skin, especially now that I've effectively been thrown out of the team except when they want something off me... I may have been asked, but I really can't remember.

Excellent video! I really loved the song!

However, I thought some of those aircraft I saw would be available for the stock CFS3 too, like the Ta154 and the Catalina. Oh Well, This video deserves an Oscar! :ernae:
 
I did give Rob permission (admittedly a long time ago!) to use my stuff on Reg's Hangar if needed; that had slipped my mind. So OK for the Gladiator skin.

No reason why they can't be. As long as you get all the bits - sound alias, pylons, weapons and so on, they'll run in any install you care to name, CFS3 base, MAW, PTO, whatever. I have an F-16 in OFF... :mixedsmi:

I probably stuck my tongue out at the headmaster, or got caught having a drag behind the bike-sheds or something... Difficult to remember. Maybe I got nicked drinking. Or fondling the cleaning maid. That would explain it. I'm actually not sure whether I was actually expelled or just permanently rusticated. In any case, the old man went bonkers and threatened to stop my allowance and send me to the local dump.

We are talking about school, aren't we?

The Cartalina for stock CFS3 will be released at BeauBrummies site, with new skins!

French-based members would be thrilled to bits to see a CFS3 skin for Nicolas Hulot's Catalina. Hulot is one of France's most prominent green/global warming/save the whale/rescue the polar bear/hug a tree today activists, who showed just how eco-conscious he was by making a TV series showing himself wandering around the wilder parts of the world in a Catalina... with the original engines. He had a bit of trouble explaining that to the more intelligent and knowledgeable, who pointed out that with modern turboprops instead (as on the C-47TP) he could go just as far, but with half the fuel, and lead-free at that. Personally, I'd love to shoot him down...

Unfortunately, the Catalina that was used in his TV series is not flying anymore. It is at Orly.Two years ago, 2 specialists came to bring it back to airworthy condition, they changed engines (they used a spare of the C47 Air France-KLM if I remember well) and spent several weeks working on this bird. I've been in this aircraft a couple of time during this period.
Unfortunately, due to lack of $$$ from the owner I suppose, they had to stop. Then, she has to left the hanger where she was with the B17 'Pink Lady' and the DC3 of Le Ferté (the red end white one) because a new hanger is being build at the same place for a maintenance company.

This is the only airworthy Catalina in the world that has a confirm kill on a U Boote. It also nearly sunk during WWII but it survived!

The Pink Lady and the C47 found good places elswhere but unfortunately, the Catalina is outside at Orly, taking dust, rain, snow, sun and whatever since about two years now... I can see her nearly everyday going badly and badly, it's a real pain.... :frown:
