I was just wondering how much time you all spend flying in simulators.
Now this can include FSX, IL2, LOMAC, ROF or any other flight simulator combined.

I myself must spend at least on average an hour a day (Flying time). Sometimes I think I spend more on tweaking and reading manuals (But this varies). Not to mention reading forums.
So in time dedicated to flight sims, I would say 1 hour flying and 2 hours mucking around. That comes to an average of about 21 hours a week. WOW
This does not include me on the First-Person-Shooters which must take about the same in time spent per week.
Is this good?

People who are in the business like add-on developers may not vote. :)

I said up to 10 hours or less. Though some weeks it might be a little more or less. I don't have nearly as much time to fly these days with college and work in full swing. Kind of a shame too with all of the neat aircraft we have now.

I probably spend more time on SOH. :wiggle:

How much time flying

Hi
I spend about 40Hr a week on FSX. It`s not all flying, I do a lot of painting and playing with panels.
I should tell you that I`am retired and my time is my own.
Keep up the good work

Regards

far too much according to my wife and kids, not enough according to me...

in general between 1 and 3 hours a day, most of it painting..

I'd say twenty minutes every now and then. Sometimes I go for weeks without touching it, sometimes it's an hour or so a day. I never fly for very long, it's always a quick hop from airport to airport or it's a short spell of low-level high speed or aerobatics. To be honest the idea of it is usually better than the experience and I can get bored very quickly especially as it's only when I am in FSX that my mind relaxes enough to suddenly remember everything else I should be doing!

.
Averaging about 7 hours/week since acquiring FSX 16 months ago.
Used to be much worse with FS2 through FS9... or is that better?

When I'm not with my partner, and my kids are with their mum, maybe 2-3 hours a day. Most of that is circuit-bashing and 'displays' but I enjoy the odd cross-country hop - I love the challenge of navigating and the rigmarole of interacting with the ATC, flaky and patchy (wot, none at Duxford?) though it is. Installing paints and aircraft is always satisfying and fun but it's really about the flying for me.

To be honest... I use flightsims mainly to test some new flight maneuvres for emergency situations. Therefore I fly in FSX and X-Plane, depending on the aircraft I use. But there are also moments of pure enjoyment. So I would say would say about 2 or 3 hours a week (~20 minutes per session +/- an hour)

I voted for 10 hrs/week but its probably more than that.... just depends on what my wife's schedule is and what my work schedule is.

approximately 15 hours, although my logbook shows much more. i think the dates are no good. so far i have accumulated 3485 hours in fsx, and i don't know how many in fs9

My time spent on FSX depends on the new toys that are released to enhance the experience. So, when PNW was released I found myself on the computer alot more or putting aside chores just to fly.

I spend a bit over 8 hours a day in fs now.. its about half of what i was doing up to a month ago, but then, i've gotten pretty worn out over the years and have come to enjoy relaxing with a video game or two at night time..
