Just Flight F4F Wildcat

Hi Bazzar,

Have you used some default DC-3 sounds in your package? Just curious as it sounded like it from the preview video. Also, when you lower the gear, does the handle turn 34 times to simulate the hand cranked gear!?

Room is very tight there on that tile Gajit. I'm afraid it takes a bit of jiggling about ot get that part right. Lowering the number a little and also lowering the darker tone will probably fix it. It has to be spot on to work there.

Glad you got that sorted.

Some of the mid-range sounds are indeed based on the stock items as in my opinion they did a good job there.

No the gear crank doesn't need the multiple turns, we thought that might not be too popular!

Can you imagine bringing in a sick aeroplane in the middle of a battle and having to crank that thing to get your wheels down? Apparently it got harder at each end of its range and it was relatively easy to forget to lock the gear down which is done by cranking until you can't any more and then flicking over the lock switch. Great stuff for a rookie!

Hi Baz

Thanks for the advice. I have gone far too low now compared to the real aircraft i am painting and still cannot get rid of the light blue on the top.

Any other suggestions? (appart from do a simple one colour scheme?)

Gajit I know nothing of painting, but I hope you get that one finished because it's going to look bloody awesome mate!:salute:

Hi Bazzar,

I understand having to click 34 would not be popular, but how about animating to turn 34 times when you extend or retract the gear?

Hi Bazzar,

another question - How does the Martlet & Wildcat compare to the Spitfire Boxed pack?
Currently flitting 'tween the two. Cant Decide.

EDIT: Does the Wildcat come with a load out panel?

The Wildcat comes with models for drop tanks as well as clean but no loadouts. The reason being we wanted to reflect the extra range for the tanked version, hence the different models.

In this pack are:

F4F-4 Wildcat folding wings six guns
F4F-3 Wildcat fixed wings four guns
Grumman Martlet Mk1 fixed wings four guns, British gunsight etc.
Grumman Martlet MkIV folding wings, six guns, British gunsight etc.

Hope this helps.

B.

Hi Bazzar,

Thanks for answering all my questions.

Any more previews of the DH106 Comet.......... Please..................

We are already starting to see some paints come out for the kitty... Jankees is on holiday and by the time he gets back I am sure we will really start to see the skins flowing.

I am going to pick the kitty up too this week... just waiting for a check to come in....Baz and the team down under always will have my undying loyalty for the aircraft they have given us over the years and I am sure this one is going to be my top flyer for quite awhile!

Go Navy!! :icon_lol:

Thanks for the paint gajit! Going to be downloading this today....and a GM version.... amazing how some people (present company excluded) forget about the GM versions.

How about a Joe Foss paint someone?
