For the wonderful free Tasmania Demo! And of course Milton Shupe's (FS9) Puss Moth is the ideal aircraft to explore Tasmania.

Got the whole package when it was on sale. Now I fly in Oz or PNW almost exclusively:wiggle:

I can fully understand you as the ORBX scenery is absolutely amazing! Villages look like real villages and landscapes look very natural. However the scenery is also at the very limit of my humble hardware.

So for now I will spend my time in Tasmania and I can assure you; Tasmania is awfully big when you fly my kind of aircrafts ;)

Cheers,
Huub

yeah, I also downloaded that a while ago & was so impressed I bought the lot when it was on special. I found everything ran fine except YBBN which was throwaway. I fly almost exclusively in OzX these days.

. . . I fly almost exclusively in OzX these days. . . .
Yep, it's sorta amazing how quickly a guy finds himself converted. For me, FSX default was downright peachy. Then along comes Oz and PNW, and plain-Jane FSX just seems so rinky-dink.

For us low-and-slow guys, Oz and PNW are paradise for the eyes!

I can only agree! I switched to FSX because of FTX and a few addons (like the RealAir BE60 and some of the newer warbirds coming out...) Best decision I ever made, spending more time in FTX World than any where else in FSX...

View attachment 14880View attachment 14883View attachment 14882View attachment 14881 LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!

I've had scenery files in every FS since you could alter scenery for the first time. I have never had this much fun in flying any previous Flight Simulator scenery package...although a few of Holger's FS9 Glacier Bay came awful close. I got PNW for my birthday a while back and what a great present it has been. I never get tired of flying it and everyday is full of new discoveries! Thanks to the FTX team and Koorby!...oh my wife for buying it. When I can afford it I will get all of Australia as well. Roger and Huub those are really great pics.

Super shots Txnetcop!

I've been playing with the textures and A2A lights of the Fs9 Ford and I think it looks pretty good with some alpha work.

Thank you huub vink for posting this thread! I've been exploring Tasmania anyway, and I didn't know about this freeware gem, woohoo!

FTX Tasmania demo convinced me that these guys need to do our whole flightsim world. I hope they do!

I really hope so Ted. When I look how the part of the world where I live looks like in FSX, I'm convinced a small ORBX touch is desperately needed!

Nice work Roger, but you know where I come from, so I will only fly 3 engined Fokkers in Tasmania ;)

Cheers.

You mean to tell me you hadn't tried FTX yet, Huub?
You know they have a PNW demo too??
Me, FTX is where I do all my flying!

Well, now this is really nice to see guys, we can take critique but it is oh so sweet to see a thread about how lovely our software is, enjoyment of the sim is what it is all about and there are some amazing shots in this thread as well. Thank you very much for all the kind words guys and be advised there are some beauties coming up, 2010 and 2011 will be two awesome years.

EDIT: Darn I sounded a little like a cheap radio announcer there, I did mean all I said above though
