Lelystad Next Weekend?

Francois

FS Veteran
Who will we see at the Dutch FS Weekend in Lelystad next weekend? Arno and I will share a table at the FSDeveloper booth to show Google Sketchup. We'll also do a presentation at 15:00 in the old Schiphol Building across the main hall!

Hope to see many familiar )and new?) faces there !

Wouldn't want to miss it! :jump:

I'll be on the DC-2 stand on Saturday with Rob and Wolter, on Sunday I'll be there as a visitor (for the first time in five years!)

Going to be in India, or Hong Kong or somewhere, but did get to attend a couple of years ago, much fun, good people andwell worth it!

Cheers: Tom

Unfortunately not this year :crybaby:
I attended a couple of years ago, and I can provide the best recommendations for this event
Will probably be there next year...

Will not be able to attend but I hope those of you who do will post some highlights and comments. ;)

You will have to do without me. I started to refurbish my house beginning September and still not finished......

Some people in this house are getting a bit impatient :running: :blind: :icon_eek:

Enjoy,
Huub

Well since last weekend we have "normal "light again in the kitchen..... I have to admit; Actually quite an improvement, this evening I connected the light in my new fixed cupboard in the living room. When I can maintain this pace I might be ready before Christmas :icon_lol:

Thanks for your compassion!

Your comment regarding Sketchup caught my eye. I recently used it to design a new patio. Does it have a particular value/use in the flight sim world? This is the first reference to it that I have seen in FS forums.

Most definitely it does. It is a very easy way to design buildings and other objects and then convert it to .mdl using Arno's wonderful ModelconverterX tool. Having no time and energy to rearn Gmax I used it exclusively for custom buildings and objects in the two airports I've done so far. Even managed to make a low poly gate guardian F84. All the objects you see in these pics (except aircraft and some FSX standard objects) are made with Sketchup/ModelconverterX:

Yup :)

That's what Arno and I will be presenting and demo'ing..... how much fun you can have making your own FS(X) objects and buildings and do something MORE than just fly around :wavey:
