HS-129

Over at LWD design, Canion and SpowithC, along with many others has released a fantastic HS-129 pack. I never have had the Alpha version, so this really fills a hole in my collection. The pack details the entire Berta series with the B-1, B-2, and the ridiculously up-gunned B-3.

The 3d model is fantastic. Really well done. The skins are works of art (if the entire aircraft itself wasn't already) The 2D panel fits well, but is not 'entirely' usable as it does not display all of the gauges that the VC does. The VC functions excellently, and really displays why the gun sight had to be mounted outside of the cockpit! It's cramped!

It handles like an underpowered, and at times over loaded pig, which is true to it's real life counter part.

Now all I have to do is find a good sound pack for it, and it's all set!

Fantastic work to all involved and a wonderful Christmas gift!

Tonybones,

Ya gotta go to Lindsay's to get it my friend. A link without a membership there is about as useless as hen s*it on a pump handle.

Wow! Looks like Canion really outdid himself with the "Panzerknacker" and Sopwith is up to his usual high standards with the cyber paint brush.

Thanks!

Yer see Jimbo, you just can't leave it alone can you..he he he...

You're like a fine wine, just gets better with age (or is that goes off and smells musty? ;))

Many thanks

The DB 50's are a good fit when named in the DP. The DP for the 129-1 also lacks the proper gunstation entries, unless it has been fixed.

I just got it installed. The Hs_129-B1 DP probably should be edited so the Wep_Gr_4x-MG_17 also appears in payload.0 section. Perhaps a little fine tuning in the gunstation section also.

[PAYLOAD.0]
; Payload = Guns Only
mount.0=Wep_Gr_4x-MG_17, 1, 1

[PAYLOAD.1]
; Payload =4x MG_17-Bombs 2 x 50kg
mount.0=Wep_Gr_4x-MG_17, 1, 1
mount.1=wep_ge_50kg_gp, 1, -1
mount.2=wep_ge_50kg_gp, 1, 0

But I'm getting CTD when the gun addon is selected. I looked at the bgl and believe there is an error in it. From similar past bgl problems it appears that the IfVarRange and its parameters should be removed every place it appears in the bgl. The IfVarRange has something to do with the aircraft position relative to some RefPoint which is not present in the bgl, nor required in a weapon bgl to my knowledge.

IfVarRange( :L00B3A1 0346 2 32767 )
BGLVersion( 0732 )
:L00B3A1

Sooo, I think I will edit the bgl I have and see if it cures the CTD on my puter.
