AERSOFT OV-10 ver. 1.1

Having absolutely no luck with the update 1.1 refuses to do anything but stutter to a complete stop after which I have to use the taskmanager to exit then restart FSX.
All other aircraft behave normally but everytime I select the Bronco it freezes up. Am I the only one having this problem?

By what means do you load up the Bronco? You might try loading up a flight in a different aircraft, go to an external view, and then switch to the Bronco. Maybe this works?

Nope, I have the same problems. The "old" Bronco worked fine, but now I can`t get it started, and FSX freezes :isadizzy:

Ok....did you completely uninstall the old version? Also.....go to the cockpit VC view....open the checklist and select one of the dark and cold options to shut the plane down completely. ONce the plane is all quiet restart using the ready to taxi option. I had the problem you are talking about with version 1 but have had none of them with 1.1....actually I haven't had this issue at all with 1.1 so I'm surpised you are having the issue.

Also, I have found since my FS9 days with buying Eaglesoft aircraft....starting your default flight in the "VC" view to be the best way to start all flights, and not an external view.

I was one who bought the the single first version from the Aerosoft store, now when I try to download the new version the store times out on me before the download completes .tried five times and am getting a little upset.I even have a download manager.Nor everyone can get get cable, but DSL has not kept me from downloading other large files.

Same sound for gear and flaps ... is this accurate?

The plane activated properly with ASC.DLL registered ok. In fact, looking in my fsx.cfg i have two instances of Bronco ASC.DLL now:
XXX:\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\Aerosoft OV-10B\panel\ASC.DLL. (This one appears to be activated with ver. 1.0)
XXX:\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\Aerosoft OV-10A - LONG RANGE FERRY\panel\ASC.DLL (This one appears to be activated with ver. 1.1)

Edit: It´s all correct according to Mr. Finn (http://forum.aerosof...post__p__356609).

No, I'm having the exact same problem with 1.1. I did not have this with the original. Although sometimes I can fly for a couple minutes, when I switch views the stuttering starts. And then I have to use task manager to end things. It's really nasty.

cool video...

Oh yeah, the "Contractor" OV-10D's used for spraying the coca fields. The herbicide reservoir is in the cargo hold which is a large clear plastic container that looks like an inverted milk jug. I saw some of those guys flying out of Captain Luis Fernando Gómez Niño Air Base when I was in Apiay Colombia. Those guys have a risky job flying at treetop level slow making those spray passes.

I am loving the model, no issues at all except when I didn't fully install the first version. After that, all works perfectly.

For those who were having the stutter/freeze issue I got my to work by doing a complete uninstall of version 1.1 then,
restarting computer then reinstall after killing virus software (Avast) restart computer again and now good to go.
Just switched to Avast after MSE got to where it wouldn't update virus definitions.
Don't know if it was the Avast blocking something (have used less than a week now) or something simply went wonky on the original install.
Good luck all hope this helps.

Also like to thank all for the helpful suggestions I guess it was just a bad install.

I´m using licenced avast in here and installed the bronco without problems (Yes, i uninstalled ver. 1.0 first and installed ver. 1.1 without reboot). My problem with the bronco is with the sound package ... it really need atention by the developers! :salute:

Why cry over here when You know that we have been working hard to fix it ?, and actually seems to have found the problem !

I only need to have confirmed by the flight model developer if we are good to go for making the changes that are needed.

I´m not crying ... just passing the facts to other simmers that i think shoud know about it in all the places that i visit and know that has serious people. And your post is the first time that i see a position that it acctualy appears to be a problem. Before it, you just said that "it work ok in my computer so should not be any problem anywhere else". Sorry that my post appeared to you that i was "crying" but i´m not.

And by the way that you´re dealing with my posts, yes i´m beggining to "cry" because i bought your plane. Thanks for the HU about the working progress. That´s my last word about your model, don´t worry! :salute:

Sorry about my words everybody else!

Sorry about my words everybody else!

If You have read all the posts in this thread: http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php...sound-problem/page__view__findpost__p__356520 (which I suppose, since You posted after them) then You would have seen that I just told that I personally did not have an issue with the sounds, BUT that I allready uploaded "open beta" files for the customers, as well as telling that we are making further tests among the beta testing group.

In all fairness it would have been nice if You had forwarded this into posts made elsehwere instead of telling "... it really need atention by the developers!" when it allready got highest attention from us.

Expect an update to the Bronco next comming days.

Wothan....please pass on to your group that this is an awesome plane with awesome features...wish it had a couple more bells and whistles like parked without pilots and remove before flight tags.......but I am a very happy camper. I have had the frame rate issue and I have learned that being on the cockpit with a cold start is the best way to start the OV for a flight. As to the sound I haven't nocticed the issue myself...but I thank you for taking the time to fix the issue to make everyone happy......as many as you can that is.

always remember...no matter how good something is made...some one will bitch because they want prefection for their money. I personally have learned in the sim world......especially with FSX and all other flightsims....that will NEVER be.

Keep up the great work and I look forward to any and all updates.

Man, this is a pretty snarky response to someone that has a problem with one of your products. Hell, I can't even fly the damn thing...it crashes FSX every time I use it. I have bought many Aerosoft products over the years and enjoyed them. However if this attitude persists, I'll look elsewhere for my flying things.

Dual throttles, issue....

Anyone flying this beauty with a Warthog or other dual throttle set up? I have each throttle set for engine 1 and 2 only. I have the blade pitch set with the trim wheel to the right of the throttles. My issue is the two throttles don't have the same range of motion, making the plane yaw severely. I have calibrated in FSX and still doesn't help.

I am considering purchasing FSUIPC, but don't know anything about how user friendly it is or isn't for that matter. I have seen many talk about the advantages of the paid version versus the free version, just want to make sure it dosn't have to be tweaked with each aircraft.

So, just looking for feedback and recommendations. I admittedly don't have the problems with the original upgrading to the patch, since I didn't download and install until after the patch. It is a great model but can understand the frustration some are having and suspect it will get resolved.

[QUOTEWhy cry over here][/QUOTE] .........

Sorry, I uninstalled the Bronco, ate a good meal, enjoyed some good wine, installing the Bronco again, and everything was in order .
Thank You Aerosoft, I love this model .

I disagree - if a customer gives in another forum the wrong impression that the developper does´t even care about his issue, I consider such answer "well deserved".
This is especially valid when I look at how promptly and how dedicated someone like Finn continuously provides first class support.

It was not meant as a "snarky" response...

But it´s very hard to run support for a product on serveral forums.

So if anyone has problems with the Bronco it would be much more efficient to report it in the Aersosft Bronco support forum.

We are taking every report, also those caused by not **** serious.

What triggered me a bit was that I in the Aerosoft forum thread, where Flaviossa posted his problem, allready had told that we are working hard on fixing the sound issues only to find him post here that we really should have our attention on it - aren´t we just doing that by both uploading open beta files as well as telling that we have put our beta testers on overtime to find a fix ?

Sometimes it´s really hard to please customers, cause they expect a fix ready 5 mins after reporting a bug.

Nevertheless....
As told elsewhere ... a fix for both the sound issue and the low FPS after changing views, will most probably be released allready today - 1 day after it was reported - I don´t think that many publishers are doing so, and that even on a sunday.
