Oh man, it's like being on the flight line again! Except I don't have to worry 'bout working 12 on, 12 off, 24/7!

And "midrats", which, btw, was the best meal on the ship. Nothing like eggs, bacon, and pancakes at 01:00, then back to work!! :)

Depended on which ship you were on...The America had great midrats!...The Ranger and the HAwk?.....is there a barf emoticon here? :)

I have done 11 reskins for the package so far...400 through 410, does anyone know the trick to do a pilot repaint? I need the exact texture size to save..mine are too big...pilot looks like he had a can of paint dumped on him.

I remember a particular "delicacy" that they would serve aboard ship - barbequed beef. But it was known as the "red death". Tasty, but deadly.

@NavyChief...so, this was the meaning of "death from above"...I've always asked myself what it was for.:salute:

Never heard it put that way, but yes.....it was most deadly! To put it another way, if one was (shall we say stopped up?)......just eating that barbequed beef would be an instant "cure".......

No, I did not receive a reply to the question as to how....I have a bmp template ready so if I can get it figured out, I will post it.

Yea, sorry about that mate! Unfortunately I saw this thread a kinda late.

Hi again, shipmate! Will send a photo to you when I have located it on my HD. It's of a VA-15 bird that was hit by a SAM when we attacked Lebanon, back in (I think), 1983, just after the attack on Grenada. It's a Lo-Viz paint scheme. If you can do it, maybe make it very dirty! Will contact you. Pete

Unlike you, Chief, I like a clean bird...don't you remember the 7/14 day inspections we had to do? Bruce is providing me with templates...got lots to do now...;)

Like I said before, I am not an expert painter...getting it dirty would require someone who knows what they are doing!
