'The Worst Movie Of All Time?'

As for my vote for recent worst move, it would be the latest "Mummy" movie:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0859163/

I haven't seen it yet. Fell asleep at the theater watching the second one; paid 20 dollars for a nap. Can imagine how bad this one is seeing how no one even cares about the franchise anymore. Its like releasing a Revenge of the Nerds sequel this year (though I'd probably go see that before the mummy).

Cheers,

John

It's sad. I really liked the first one, and the second was, well, ok. But this one is horrible. I have seen many movies with Maria Bello. Always thought she was cute, and her acting ok. But she definitely blew it with this one. Brandon Fraser was great in Encino Man; but he needs to give up the Mummy series.

I saw the remake of "The Day the Earth Stood Still" yesterday and I would like to nominate it for the worst in at least the last ten years.

Yep, bought the latest Mummy on DVD last night, it sucked!! I have the first 2 and really like them, but this was a let down big time :banghead::banghead:

about a month ago i tuned to a movie on history international it was called valkayri (or however you spell it) and it starred tom cruise..was a sneak peak at and up coming theater release....i didnt think it was that bad myself...i wouldnt pay to see it at the theaitor but i will buy it on dvd...but reading this review...in my opinion..this fieldman?was his name? hes a jew maybe?..nothing wrong with that ofcourse..except..he will never view a movie about any semi pro german view point ( this thought being Von Stauffenburg and crew)..and for his feeling that all high ranking germans were nazi's..which is the way i read that paragraph...he should read the books about gen rommel sometime...

but i guess im a "bad guy" cause i dont blame all of the Nazi party either..i blame hitler, himmler, goering and mostly goebbels

For historic sake I'd have to say, "Plan 9 From Outer Space" would qualify as the worst. :applause:

You've gotta see at least once. It's so bad that Mystery Science Theater wouldn't even touch it!

LOLOL, I love that movie, it's so very, very bad that it's funny.

hahaha that's too funny! i actually like the latest mummy. :costumes:
but i agree fraisers acting was bad, and his dialog was a complete trainwreck. i agree that it's not a good movie, but i liked it because

a) michelle yeoh is sooo classy that her appearance in this film almost polishes the turd. :icon_lol:

b) jet li - 'nuff said

c) the cgi was top notch.

d)the base part of the story, bout the tera cotta warriors is (VERY loosely) based on an old chinese legend and a tiny grain of truth. (that there actually are teracotta warriors) and it was a departure from the usual chinese story bucket. meaning, no huo yuan jia, no wong fei hung,
no evil japanese bullying peaceful chinese who only want to reach enlightenment through martial arts. those 3 story lines make up 85% of the action movies that come out of china

yes, it was weak, but i don't go to an action film expecting hamlet anyhow.
it was a stinker, but it did have michelle yeoh in it and that nearly made up for everything else

my vote for worst (from hollywood, anyhow) might be memoirs of a geisha. i never liked zhang ziyi, and none of the women in the movie were japanese (what? they couldn't find any good japanese actresses? :bs:)
geisha don't do those things, they don't dance that way, they don't wear their hair like that, and many of the behaviors were all wrong. the only bright spot, once again, michelle yeoh. all class, and beauty.
however, being chinese malaysian, she really shouldn't have played the part she did.

Tom...2 movies that were even worse than Plan 9 (if you can believe it)
Attack of the Killer Tomatos, (who remembers the song Puberty Love??) :barf:and probably the WORST movie I've ever seen, Superargo and the Faceless Giants. If you want a good laugh at lousey editing and cinimatography and you can find it, look it up. At least 'Plan 9 from Outer Space' had Bella Lagosi in it to give it a little credability.:icon_lol:

I wasted about 1.5 hours of beer-drinking time one night in 1969, watching this horrible flick at the NAS Miramar base theater...

I should've walked out after the quality entertainment (Pink Panther cartoon) and headed for the club. :icon_lol:

TARPS, "The Green Slime" was what technically started "Mystery Science Theater 3000". It was the pilot for the show that was shown to the execs at KTMA Ch.23 Minneapolis-St. Paul, but it has never been shown on TV. It's really the movie that gave the idea to the guys to create MST3K in the first place. It is incredibly horrible. :costumes:

The 2 worst movies of all time, in my book, are:

1) Death to Smoochie...so terrible I wanted to be reimbursed for the time I wasted watching it.
2) Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.

Bad Movie? "Quiet Cool"

As far as actors go If they're not believable then they're not very good actors.....Tom cruise, IMHOthe only time he was believable was in the one with Dustin Hoffman, Rainman I think it was called? The other was the one where he was a sports agent, whatever that movie was called. As far as him being a believable heavy of any kind, I don't believe him. Believability is what a makes an actor great.....look at Sean Connery as James Bond compared to the new guy.

The 3rd mummy flick..c´mon, 1 was great, 2, stinked but hold it´s own, 3rd??i got it on DVD as a gift...watched it just because my wife is a Frasier fan, but no Rachel Weizz?????........maybe she was smart enough no to get into :bs: sequels (something that Sandra Bullock ignored, on speed 2..which leads me to...make it the 2nd worst movie/sequel around....Bullock should´ve heard Neo (Reeves)advice..:costumes:)
Best regards

The day after Christmas I saw the movie Valkyrie.

From what I know of the story it was Historically correct. There were a lot of details in the story that I did not know happened and can not vouch for how historically accurate they were.

As far as Tom Cruises acting I did not go to the movie to see him I went to see how they protrayed the tale as it occured in real life.

I was happy with what was made.

I would not call it the Worse Movie of all Time.

The Toxic Avenger

one of the worst movies in my life time, but that is what it was supposed to be i guess...

as terrible as this movie is, (and it is terrible) it has a rather devoted cult following that usually makes an appearnace at several of the bigger film festivals every year.

Well I can say one thing...

I've never based my decisions to see movies upon other people's opinons...:mixedsmi:
