Edgley Optica now released! (21.December)

Craig,
Creating a peculiar twin tail plane for Christmas will at least make you a kind of "honorary Piglet":ernae:

I can see why there were very few made... Forget you've left the engine running, exit left and get sucked into the fan :engel016:

Found an interesting article from archived Flight International May 1979 HERE

Superb modeling work! I'll be watching for the release :salute:

Dave.

Many thanks everyone ! here is a VC shot, I don't think I've posted one yet.

I love that last shot of the bird in the mist.. Maybe its just because i watched "Slipstream" once, but this bird seems to look right at home in these mysterious and almost other worldly environments.. Great Job Craig.. :) :) :)

Yep, Looks like it could be a "Lunar Lander", lol

Not sure there was enough force to pull someone into the fan or not.. But the real reasons for so fewmade are even more tragic. First there was the crash of a police model that bankrupted the original Brooklands Aerospace ( builders of the optika ) and Edgley himself. He sold the design to another company and well, that company burned to the ground, Then the FAA stepped in and placed a grounding order on it because of cracks appearing ( though the order is unenforced as there are still two of the aircraft flying ). Then Edgley bought the design back, hoping to start building it again..

very cool plane....but is there anyway to make the glass more shiny or reflective? On my system its almost as if there's no glass showing at all. I love the ambient shading...I wish more dev's would use it.
