SibWings An-2 Colt VC shots

Sibwings will get my money. Until Aerosoft bans Snave and his insulting manner from their paying customer support forum, they'll get no more orders from me.
 
Guess the early bird gets the worm here, or should I say my money.

Unless of course Aerosoft comes with other variations like floats or gunship, then it will be a tough choice..
 
My kind of airplane... two wings, round engine... a few bent props... fantastic detail!!!
 
I really want to buy a good An-2.
Obviously, both models, from Sibwings or Aerosoft, will look really good. So my choice will be based on the realism.
The real An-2 starts like a P-47, with the intertial starter that you have to energize first. It's pretty fun to use with the Accusim P-47 and P-40, so I hope one (or both) of these future payware Colts will have such a starting sequence.

Yes sir, they've included an inertial starter that works much like that in the P-47. Great startup sounds, too.

Once I saw an An-2 start-up at a local airport, and even though it had a large add-on muffler on the side of the aircraft, it started with a huge "BANG!" :pop4: and a cloud of white smoke. Gave most of the people near the aircraft a good scare! :icon_lol:
 
BTW, I'm referring to the Sibwings variant. I have no insider knowledge of what Aerosoft are doing.

Oh my-oh-my! Wouldn't THAT be a lollapalooza of a Colt -- with floats! For my needs, it would be exceptionally useful for bush flying (thinking RTMM country here)!

With only the wheeled version, I'll be flying this aircraft occasionally; with a float version included, it would definitely be my full-time bush plane, sans doubt!

Looks like the removable beaching gear is in place, which is what you're seeing. Two main wheels per float, plus a tail wheel.

Regarding that great video above, I can only imagine the swath of complaints that would flood in stating "I can't start this airplane!" if the simulated engine was as temperamental as that!
