Flying Barrel over KORS!

Very nice indeed. You seem to have the prop and instruments working properly, which is more than I ever managed in Acceleration. Are there fixes available which you could direct me to, please?

Great vid Ted. You realise that this is the F-14 Tomcat's Great, Great, Great, Great Grandfather?!

Love the AE F3F in FSX - it works well for a FS2002 model. Lots of colorful paints for it. As a kid in the 60's my Dad introduced me to Leroy Grumman at a social event. I remember him describing what it was like to fly the Barrel - it was extremely light on the controls and maneuverable he said, and joked you could bank it by just leaning a bit left or right without moving the stick!

F-3F port to FSXA

I have installed the AH F3-F 2002 version and I know there is a dude named CaZ Dalton that made a few changes to this 2002 version. I am interested in locating
any prop texture changes to bring it up to speed for FSXA.

Thanks

I am still looking for the prop texture fix for FSX.

I found one file on Flightsim that add a much better sound and texture fixes which put a better shine on all of the liveries
supposedly there is a prop fix there as well but I suspect it was meant for fs2004.

GE,

Why don't you experiment with some FSX native prop textures? You must have tons of those in your hangar!

Gauges are stock F3F-2 F2k2. Delete these FS98 gauges..

Center your seat position with the Telescopic Gunsight to reduce some of that invisible box issue.

As always, great vid, Ted ! Great flying and great sounds too ! :encouragement: ( your own soundsuite ?.... )

cheers,

AH Grumman F3F-2 over FTX KORS!

Are you using the sound package made by Tim Dement (AKA OBIO)?

I thought it was the JF Wildcat but it's not that one.
The real deal used the Wright R-1820-22 "Cyclone" 9-cylinder radial engine

I did find one that closely matched the sound in your vid:

If that ain't it, it sure comes close IMHO.

Hi Butch,

Try with these prop txts, just a little more visible and with different colored tips.
I used as "base" an FS2004 prop made by Banana Bob for a plane of mine.

P.S. The Cazzie's textures are really beautyful !!!

I tried this and chose the yellow tip prop and what I saw was a red/yellow/blue prop and not just the yellow tip prop.
No matter which prop texture I use, I will always see the tri-colored prop tips.

On LM's sim the invisible box is gone and props show thru clouds. Although the shine is gone.
