Eric, tell that little birdie that, while this is no promise, there is a good chance it will be up sometime later in the weekend. Couple of trickie (to me anyway) color match problems I had to spend more time on than I anticipated and still got one more to navigate. But, thanks for asking.

This is No. 754, this NAVY "F-86E" had a tail hook and launch hooks, but was still pretty much an F-86.
This model comes with a "FAUX" hook too!

Here's what I'm using. It probably needs more tweaking but it works for now. MAKE BACK UP COPIES of your aircraft and FSX. config files!!
Add the following to the bottom of your aircraft config
[TailHook]
tailhook_length= 3.0
tailhook_position = -25, 0, 0
cable_force_adjust= 0.88
[launch_assistance]
launch_bar_pivot = 15.4, 0.0, -2.17
launch_bar_lug = 15.8, 0.0, -2.23
I also added the below entry to the FSX config to the bottom of the [REALISM] section. This will allow the sim to adjust launch speeds based on aircraft weight and payload. This entry really slowed down the launch sequence for me.

Sweet, sweet, sweet. has this new paint been uploaded yet? I cant wait to fly her.
Obviously one has to use the key strokes to lower and raise a virtual tail hook. As I typically use the VC handle in carrier aircraft, I cant remember the key strokes. Can anybody tell me for raising and lowering the arresting gear? (also the cat cat launch bar?)

Thanks very much Eric. It hasn't been uploaded yet. Still some work to do on the landing gear. This one and the next one had mostly sea blue painted wheel and brake assemblies. Looks like at least Tuesday now. Got company today and tomorrow! Happy you like it.

My shots are nowhere near as dramatic as Sean's, but I'm already tickled pink (or should I say Navy Blue) about already logging my first trap and cat shot!
I used the Essex-class carrier from the Warbirdsim Mustang Tales package to give myself a bit of realism, with the added bonus of knowing exactly where to find it.
