Delta....that's 39 red....not yellow. [I must a done a good fade job]...;)
It's one of the 2048 res paints Bjoern released/included with the model.
I've just uploaded the 4096 res ver which can be installed alongside [it'll say 'HD'].
I'm intending to do similarly with the other 2 included paints.

I realize I'm pretty late to this party, but I finally had a chance to download the L-39 and a few of Jafo's skins. What a fabulous package! Great looks and just the right amount of systems immersion for me. I'm usually more of a low and slow flyer, but I'm loving this jet!

Thanks to Bjoern and Jafo (as well as Doughbree Designs) for this excellent model redux. :encouragement:

I just uploaded the 4096 res version of N2399X 'Lotticat' - the small res ver of which was included with the model release.
It can be installed alongside the included 2048 ver as it's defined as 'HD' [different]...

I think it's one of my 'favourites' as it's quite 'stylish'.

Next job is to have a look at a few more vers to paint...;)

Very believable ... well done! Though (and it's only opinion), the Maple Leaf could be maybe be centered fwd-rear on the chord of the tail, or at least the chord of the tail forward of the rudder.

Given the age of the aircraft, it could have just as easily been a 80s era scheme:

Bottom "bird" pattern same as on more modern bird you chose. Just an idea.

The Snowbirds paint was derived from an old one...by Zsolt [I think] for the 2004 ver and was in the low res.
I repainted it along similar lines re the fuse striping but added the bird motif on the underside and in HD.
I'll have to chase up the original author as the idea for the 'what if' was his originally.
 
Bollocks [as they say] ... just when you think you have it done you discover No.7 has a different reg ....ES-YLP, not ES-YLN .... so you have to amend it all.

Breitling has 9 39s .... for a team of 7. so if I do them all I have to rejig another 6.
At least I've found the serials and reg no.s ...;)
 
Dang it ..... looking into the other team nos and I think I need to review the Number font for the tail and wing ....doesn't seem to be what I thought it was....not a simple arial bold [or black]. The '6' implies something else...;)
 
2157 fonts later and I'm still at a loss....they must be a custom stretched version of something else. I really don't want to have to draw them from scratch....that'd be a pain for all 7.

Meanwhile....got the bottom of the wings sorted...like everything, you have to find the right pics...;)
