This model is of an early Battle of Britain period Beaufighter, ZK-A, serial number R2059. R2059, 'ZK-A' was part of the first 50 production batch of Beaufighters and did not carry any wing armament. It was armed with four Hispano drum fed 20mm cannon carried in the ventral position. It was flown by the first squadron to be equipped with the Beaufighter, No. 25 Squadron RAF, out of North Weald Fighter Command base during September 1940.

This model is the first in a planned series to portray the development of the Beaufighter during World War II.

Model built by Richard 'Winjeel' Mason
Textures by Will Hunter
Flight Model by Richard Mason and Bill 'Spitfrnd' Wilson

Special thanks to Ken Lee, who provided me with invaluable information on the Beaufighter and where to look to find more. Also thanks to everyone on the forums at Sim-Outhouse who helped me and gave encouragement to continue. It has been a long process!
