Grumman F8F-2, VF-4, USS Essex, US Navy, 1946 Authorized repaint of Jerry Beckwith's "Mudpond" F8F-2 Bearcat Fictional aircraft of the United States Navy. As the Hellcat was removed from service before the Corsair, it seems reasonable to assume that had the Pacific War continued, those squadrons erquipped with Hellcats might have been re-equipped with the new F8F Bearcat. As it turned out, the Bearcat never saw operational service with the United States Navy or Marine Corps. Includes modified mos file and xdp file.
