Overview: Semi-Historical: On January 13, 1943 the Eighth Air Force conducted mission #29 to damage steel and locomotive works, and the marshalling yard at Lillie France. This mission, the 91st BG is tasked with destroying those targets. A total of 72 B-17s participate in the raid. The 91st assigned 13 aircraft to this mission. Allied fighter escort of the bombers for this mission is provided by the 4th Fighter Group flying Mk 5b Spitfires. The 4th is based at Debden, England.
