Repaint of B-17E 41-9020, formerly "Phyllis" of the 340th BS 97th BG. "Phyllis" started flying missions in 1942 and is known for being photographed with massive tail damage after making it safely back to base. She was later transferred to the 92nd and then the 303rd BG, where she was called "Tugboat Annie" and became their assembly ship and a group "hack." The aircraft was salvaged on 27 July 1945 after an accidental wheels-up landing during a cross country trip from Molesworth to Kingscliffe on 23 July.
