This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang, in the colors of P-51D 44-14890 D7-C/ “Whoa! To Joe’s Woes”, the assigned aircraft of Capt. Joseph G Farrell, Brooklyn NY of the 503rd FS, 339th FG. This a/c was crash-landed on 24 March 1945 by Lt. William R Preddy, some twenty-four days before he was killed in action. The strange nickname on this P-51 has nothing to do with Capt. Farrell being named Joseph but rather a reference to the Russian Dictator Joseph Stalin who was constantly bemoaning the lack of a second front by the allies. D-Day of course put an end to “Joe’s Woes.”

Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paint kit by A2A.
