This repaint for A2A's WOP III P-47D represents the second HV-A P-47 of then Lt. Francis "Gabby" Gabreski of the 61st FS, 56th FG Halesworth, Endland late 1943. This aircraft was turned over to the 373 FG in early 1944 when gabby took reins of a "Bubbletop" P-47D-25 and was lost on August 15, 1944.
