This folder contains a repaint for the accu-sim version of the A2A B-17G Flying Fortress. Here is 44-6542, which flew with the 429th BS/ 2nd BG from Amendola, Italy, with just the serial 542 on the nose. It started life with the 2nd BG in October 1944, and was scrapped at Kingman in December 1945. In the mean time, it had received a replacement tail from a OD 301st B-17, and had made an emergency landing in Yogoslavia on 1 April 1945, after three engines failed. The aircraft was repaired and rejoined the group. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paint kit by A2A.
