he Lavochkin La-11 (NATO reporting name Fang) was an early post-World War II Soviet piston-engine fighter aircraft. Like the P-51D, it was conceived as a long range escort fighter and with full fuel it didn’t manoeuvre well. With half tanks it’s a very nimble and very responsive aircraft. The wing extra tanks are not drop able and, when used, are the default choice. The project has six planes used by Chinese, North Korean and Soviet Air Forces.
