AH-1G Cobra
Bell attack helicopter - developed for use in Vietnam. Used to protect slower troop helicopters and to seek and destroy enemy targets.
Tom Sandford of FoxFour was the inspiration behind this model and without his help with the .air file ( particularly Doug Attrell's file for AI helicopters ) and the .dp file and some tweaking of the .cfg this bird would not fly.
In the .cfg there are two alternate eyepoints for the vc panel - one gives the view from the gunners ( front position ) the other ther pilots view. To change eyepoint just remove the //s from in front of one and put them in front of the other.
All errors are mine.
The panel layout of gauges I borrowed from J 'Heelix' Alex's Cobra panel - I was unable to ask his permission as there was no email address in his panel. His panel which is better is available at Simviation.
STRICTLY FREEWARE AND ONLY AVAILABLE AT SOH ( OR TOM'S SITES )
