Akemi Aichi E13a1b Jake revised for CFS2 by UncleTgt
This is a revision of Akemi's Aichi E13a1b Jake for CFS 2. I've configured it as a separate aircraft, although the base airfile & dp file are used as the start point.
The model has ben tweaked with a blue/green glass colour & slight changes to sheen using MDLmat.
A new airfile has been developed, & the dp file also has been developed with more visible damage effects, & reads in English instead of japanese. The textures have been redrawn.
The textures supplied with the yagi aerial aircraft are:
KEC-73 - A Radar equipped aircraft from 453ku based in the Ryukyu islands, spring/summer 1945.
951-47 - A Radar-equipped aircraft from 951ku based at Sasebo, summer 1945.
"Sa hi"-32 - A MAD-equipped aircraft from Saeki ku, & used in support of kamikaze missions off Okinawa, May 1945.
The 2D panel bitmap is brand new and has been made WIN 7+ friendly. It uses elements of Shina's E16A & D3A 2D panels as a start point for an improved 2D panel bitmap. There is a customized fixed window downward view (recon?) to enjoy.
Sounds are not included. This is to keep the size of the download manageable. The sounds are aliased to the stock D3A1_Val.
The dp file makes use of kelticheart's exhaust effects.
The aircraft.cfg references one of Bill Kestell's excellent waterspray effects & this is included.
To install, unzip the download to a temporary location & move/ copy files to the matching folder names inside your chosen CFS 2 install.
Thanks to: Akemi for a great series of multi-LOD aircraft.
Allen for the inspiration for the fixed window views.
Allen for his DOSmdlc_2, making shine & mdl size changes possible in WIN7+.
Martin Wright for so many useful tools, in this case in particular MDLmat allowing aircraft model material transparency & colour changes.
Kelticheart for his exhaust effects, & inspiration for the propeller bitmaps.
This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions.
