Akemi's KI-61 Otsu Hien 244th Sentai "Shinten Seiku-Tai"
This package includes a repaint only of the excellent freeware Ki-61-otsu Hien model created by Akemi Mizoguchi.

These textures depict 244th Sentai "Shinten Seiku-Tai" Sgt.Nakano Matsuyoshi at Chofu Airfield, Tokyo 1944/45.
"Shinten Seiku-Tai" is a spesial attack unit of 244th Sqn which was based at Chofu, defending Tokyo's sky as a Emperor's guard. Since IJA has no high altitude fighter at that time which can attack B29 flying almost 10000m above, special "Kamikaze" attack unit has composed called "Shinten Seiku-Tai".
Aircrafts of "Shinten- Seiku-Tai" was un-armed. They try to shoot down B29 by collision. Pilot bailed out after the collide and came down in a parachute. Sgt. Nakano collided twice and shot down 3 B29s but survived till the end of war.
Sgt. Nakano is 2nd from left in Image photo. Aircraft at their back is his plane, unit #16 of "Shinten Seiku-Tai.
Japanese character painted on tail of aircraft means "Na" of "Nakano"
