AlphaSim B-24J repaint of "LILY MARLENE"_with_fix

AlphaSim B-24J repaint of "LILY MARLENE"_with_fix 2024-07-12

No permission to download
This FSX repaint has been a labor of love for the surviving family of William Ransom Frederick, pilot of B-24J-5 "LILY MARLENE", who grew up in Caswell County, North Carolina. The repaint is for the AlphaSim payware B-24 D/G/J package for FSX and FS2004. This repaint is for FSX only, a version for FS2004 will follow shortly for those who still prefer that great old sim and have the AlphaSim package for it. The repaint involved countless hours the past week, especially doing the art work of "LILY MARLENE" for the starboard fuselage and the 458th Squadron badge for the port fuselage. An all new bump texture was worked up to bring our the armor plating on either side of the cockpit. New Alpha textures were made for all required textures. Two sets of wing textures were done and are enclosed, one for the non-painted de-icer boots and another for black de-icer boots, which were shown in the reference photo for the actual "LILY MARLENE". An Adobe Acrobat Reader article is included in the .zip with photos and history of the ill-fated "LILY MARLENE". Caz Dalton

This package contains the following fix: This is a replacement texture for the rudders for the FSX ALPHA B-24. I am so blonde, I made the serial no. 250807 instead of the correct 250907. This texture fixes my blondness. Caz
