These textures are for the new (2008) payware AlphaSim Republic F-105D Thunderchief for FSX, you must have this aircraft installed to use these textures. These textures represent an F-105D "The Lone Star Special" flown by Capt. Ben Allen of the 562nd TFS/23rd TFW, McConnell AFB. This F-105 was the first painted in camouflage before the 562nd rotated to Takhli RTAB in April 1965. Quickly done, nobody noticed the camouflage colors were reversed until it was too late. The aircraft remained in these colors till the 562nd returned home in August. Repaint by Dave Larmer (Klarm), Textures converted to FSX by Barry Vandenakker (Barvan40).
