Bell 412 military version for the Royal Norwegian Air Force
The Bell 412 has been adapted for military use, mainly by adding communication systems, electronic countermeasures and increased cabin protection. Perhaps the most interesting of the military versions is that of the Royal Norwegian Air Force, which includes two M 134 miniguns on the port and starboard sides. Some time ago, Jensole, one of our SOH colleagues, asked me to try modifying CeraSim's excellent Bell 412. With his help, I was able to make this mod, which includes a gauge that allows mounting or dismounting the gunnery and aiming it, as well as housing or not housing the gunners.
Most changes, but not all, are similar to those of Griffons used by the Royal Canadian Forces and the Augusta Bell Grifone used by the Italian forces.
The model has been modified with permission from CeraSim, and includes some parts from other of their helicopters. To enjoy it, it is necessary to have CeraSim's Bell412 installed, available at:
