B-24H 42-52485 flew with the 464th BG from Pantanella, Italy in 1944. She was badly hit by flak during a raid on Munich on 4 october 1944, being holed more than a 100 times. At one moment, three engines cut out, and most crew members were wounded. The crew managed to restart two engines and tried to reach liberated France, as the could't cross he Alps any more. They sighted two Me-109's coming towards then, but it turned out they were Swiss aircraft who escorted the bomber to Dubendorf. As the flaps and brakes no longer worked, "Brown Nose" came in too fast and ended up in a drainage ditch at the end of the runway. Repaint for the Alphasim B-24 Liberator by Jan Kees Blom.
